Waxing & Sugaring Services
Waxing and sugaring are two techniques used to remove unwanted hair by removing the hair follicle from the root. Discuss with your esthetician which technique is best for you.
Wax is warm and applied on the skin in the direction of the hair growth, then removed with a strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Wax is great to use on large body parts that are not sensitive, such as the legs, arms and back. It is also great for brows since it has an easy application process that can result in a high level of detail needed for brow waxing.
Sugar is a water-soluble substance made from honey, lemon and water. It is warm and has a consistency similar to taffy. The esthetician will take a ball of sugar and work it around in their hands while wearing special textured gloves. The esthetician will apply the sugar to the body part by spreading the sugar against the direction of the hair growth, and then remove the sugar using a quick flinging motion. The sugar is removed in the direction of the hair growth, which results in less hair breakage.
Before making your appointment, hair should be groomed and at least 1/4 inch for best results. It is best to minimize sun exposure for at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid irritation and sensitivity. If you are sunburned, please wait until you skin has healed before booking your appointment.
